SUMMARY OF ST. LOUIS NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL HISTORY The school was established in 2009 by Sisters of St. Louis, Nigeria Province in response to the yearning and persistence demand of parents in Ondo who as a result of their concern about the deteriorating state of the nursery/primary schools which were being run just for profit making rather than genuine education. Parents who have visited St. Louis Nursery/Primary School in Akure demanded for a similar one in Ondo City as many of them could not afford coming to Akure all year round to place their children/wards there. Several attempts were made to establish one in Ondo city but all effort proved abortive until the Friends of the Sisters of Louis, Ondo zone in 2007 initiated the idea of having a project which will be handed over to the Sisters for school was considered. After series of meetings and search for a suitable/ strategic location, a parcel of land located beside Awosika College along Ondo-Ife road was bought in spite of all odds. The school officially opened on 23rd September, 2009 with a total number of 137 pupils with Sr. Maureen Long’ep as the headmistress, Sister Roseline Fatoba, Judith Ahuna and 12 other members as staff at St. Matthews Catholic Church premises Oke Pa’adi.
